- 2 kg beef marrow and bone knuckles
- 1.5 kg neck bones or ribs (preferably with meat)
- 4L filtered water (cold)
- 3 pieces onions (large and coarsely chopped)
- 3 pieces carrots (peeled and coarsely chopped)
- 3 pieces celery stick (coarsely chopped)
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 bunch parsley
- 1 tsp green peppercorns (dried and rushed)
- several sprigs of thyme (tied together)
- 1 calves foot (optional)

Crockpot Bone Broth Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the beef marrow, bone knuckles, and calves foot
Add the beef marrow, bone knuckles, and calves foot to a large pot of water with apple cider vinegar. Cook the ingredients in a slow cooker and set the heat on a low level. Let stand for an hour. The heat will bring out the nutrients such as collagen, gelatin, calcium, and amino acids from the beef marrow.
Step 2: Put the neck bones in the oven
Put the neck bones or ribs with meat inside the oven and set to 175C (350F). Beef neck bones or ribs are packed with Vitamin B12, Niacin, and Riboflavin. These vitamins help the body’s nerve cells to regenerate. This highly benefits thyroid patients.
Step 3: Add the fat drippings
Once brown, add the neck bones or ribs to the pot along with any fat drippings.
